30!

Jared Zane just turned 30!! I am proud of this guy because he is the best dad and husb. a human could ask for. Happy B-day, and good job at making 30 look cool!

One thing I learned this week is that if you eat blueberries all day you will get a stomach ache. 

They are delicious nontheless!

 I know I have posted other fruit picking pictures on here, 

but it is a common part of our life that will never grow old!

 

Blueberry bushes are just so cute! I like how they all grow in little families. I felt like they were all beckoning for me to eat them - or become a  part of their blueberry family.

 You may wonder what she was up to. I'll tell you what! Twice when I wasn't looking she dumped all of my blueberries out of my bucket! I put them all back and kept my hand on the bucket so she would not spill it again but she realized putting dirt on top of the blueberries was just as fun.Finally I made sure to keep the bucket away from her and I looked down at my side bag and she was filling it with dirt! Ha. She is silently sneaky.

Hanging at Home

Within the last few weeks we moved spontaneously. It was good.

 I like that Delmer enjoys painting on the porch.

 Poor June has a random molar coming in. She doesn't even have her other teeth in yet! It is just not right to see her sleeping when she is normally playing. 

Luckily she seems to be feeling better now. Look at that cute bubble bum. Ha!

Of course we made pizza. We always make pizza! Whats for dinner?? PIZZA! You can never go wrong with pizza. It is the best food ever!!

August Explorations

One thing I love about this land we live is the plethora of hikes and waterfalls close by! 

I did this hike twice in 2 weeks because I was addicted and I was happy Delmer could walk the whole way by himself.

Fairy Tale Land

I love looking at June's little shadow. Eeee!

Delmer was staring at a magical weeping mossy wall. I would put up a pic, but it does not do it justice. It was truly fairy like!

 Wading in the stream. Cold! Delmer fell in the first time we went to his neck and I could see the shocked look on his face

Delmer's favorite part was finding a butterfly. At 

aleast that is what he told me at bed time that night. He loves bugs!

Beachy Keen

Ahhhh we had a lovely week at the Oregon Coast thanks to the Kessie's!!

The house we stayed in was dazzling with crafty stained glass and a perfect view of the ocean.

Reflections

The Oregon Coast is definitely a rare beauty. If you love mountains, trees, and ocean it is the perfect place

Delmer was super afraid of crabs. It was quite comical. It took him forever to get closer to the water because he thought he would get pinched. I don't blame him though, they are creepy looking. We found 20 + sand dollars, and we weren't even trying! I have never seen that many on California beaches so I was surprised.

I loved seeing the mouth of the Columbia river in Astoria. 

I want to go back right now. Come along!!

I am so thankful that cameras can pause time. Sometimes I only think to take pictures when we go out, but home is really where life happens. I love how the simplest things make these kids happy. For example, eating on the porch is a favorite! 

Weekend Getaways

We try to make our weekends a time to play, so lately we have been getting away. Here is our most recent venture to the coast. LOVE. We had a spontaneous urge to see the ocean so we went camping with some friends at a familiar place on the Oregon Coast. It was perfect! The weather was nice, there were a lot of surfers and other people playing in the water, and everyone just seemed happy and in love with life. YES! My favorite. I also love sandy diapers and faces. That's the way it should be.
